The great thing about bad things...

How feeling bad makes you feel alive… We are under winter storm warnings here in Saskatchewan. I’m taking care of my mom’s acreage and since the storm last weekend, I was sure it was snowed in. I thought maybe we should clear it to prepare for the next storm and reduce the mountain we would have to deal with. Hubby and I went this morning to check and the 1.3km driveway was all blown in with heavy drifts. We had to walk in to get the snowblower. After finishing the work, we had to walk back out to our vehicle. The wind was cold and blowing even harder so we had to walk sideways at times. Near to the car, I looked at my husband and half his nose looked frostbitten (this is when I’m thankful for my low-profile Asian nose!). We got into the car and started warming up. Hubby said, “Feeling this cold really makes you feel alive!” 😂 So true. Only by feeling the feels, you squeeze the most out of life. If you avoid anything that feels bad (and causes growth), how are you going to be able to feel the highs and the appreciation of when you get through the hard times and things are going well? Don’t be afraid to feel the feels. It’s part of being human… and it’s beautiful! The weather today, however, is not. Stay safe out there!! Oh, and hubby’s nose is ok. The colour came back once we started warming up!

The photo clearly shows the two peaks of my heartrate while we were walking in and out! Yay for functional fitness!
